and children aged 6 months and older. The active substance in Spikevax XFG is mRNA encoding the
SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. The mRNA is embedded in SM-102 lipid nanoparticles.
As Spikevax XFG does not contain the virus, it cannot give you COVID-19. Spikevax XFG contains messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) (mRNA-1273.262) that encodes the spike protein of the XFG strain of the virus.
